TMNT fans are being treated rather well this year. Not only are we getting all the classic arcade hits with the Cowabunga Collection, we all get to play a brand new beat-'em-up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. The latter of these just got an 11-minute gameplay video over on IGN, and it's looking tastier than a steaming slice of pizza.
Watch as the turtles take on the first two stages of the game, running through the Channel 6 studios and the streets of NYC. All four of the main heroes are shown off, each with his own moveset and voice lines lending some personality to the scene. It looks pitch perfect, with vivid, cartoonish visuals, lively music, and plenty of baddies to beat up. It has us excited to hop aboard, although there's still no confirmed release date as yet — all we know is it's arriving in the summer.
Anyway, give the video a watch, and tell us what you think in the comments section below.

Cool, looks great. Thanks for showing me most of the game.
Almost hard to believe that this and the collection game coming out in the same year. Excited for both.
Man, this is probably one of my most anticipated games of the year. I love the SoR franchise - and 4 is absolutely incredible, so I can can’t wait to get my hands on this game.
@Nerdfather1 It's not made by the SoR guys, it's made by the Mercenary Kings guys. Dotemu is publishing.
@Hundred_Hand_Slap It’s only the first two stages, and you didn’t have to watch it if you didn’t want to so I’m not sure why you’re complaining.
Also, thanks for the correction - you are totally right. The game is still in safe hands, I believe.
Day one buy for me.
Wanting a release date and price. At the rate they're showing off the game they'll have the entire play through on YouTube before the game actually releases.
@Nerdfather1 11 minutes of a simple side scrolling beat em up is pretty excessive. I watched for 2 minutes then gave it the ol' scroll bar fast forward watch. No complaining here. Day one for me if it doesn't launch like Sonic Origins.
At least we have a window now.
I’ll be downloading that one as soon as it hits the store. Exciting to see these style of games come back and have a great following, Streets of Rage 4 sunk me a ton of time and i had so much fun playing them. I think the word fun is so rarely used in gaming today. We hear graphics this and that, or frame rate, who made it, who published it, what system is it on, what system does it run best on etc etc , but rarely do i see people use the word fun. Like i had fun playing that. These games are fun to me and i may double dip this one on PS5 and Series X to play with friends. I would get it for switch but that’s over kill and i don’t need this on the go on a smaller screen. Hope everyone has a great time playing this and wish they would say a release date but probably don’t want it to close to the collection to hurt sales.
@Uncharted2007 I’ve got the Cowabunga Collection on my mind. I was sure they had given us the price for this. Haha.
But yeah, surely it’s just around the corner. I would guess July. But I also think the same for the Cowabunga Collection, so maybe one is July time, the other a few months after that.
@Rural-Bandit brilliant comments and fun and video games should always go hand in hand 👍🏻
@Luigia thank you, i mean take death stranding for example. I cant make that game fun for me, but for those that can that’s great, so i am not saying it don’t have it’s place. To many times we are forgetting the fun part of games and to busy looking for it’s faults or if it drops a few frames per second. What console dropped the frames etc etc. two of my most fun times right now in this gen has been ratchet and clank rift apart and yes it’s kinda short and $70 dollars, but i had fun playing it and it made me enjoy my new oled tv and PS5, on the other side halo Infinite other game that people spend way to much time complaining about but i have 168 hours into season 1 and am having so much fun playing it. Could i find faults with both those games? Sure, but it would be a waste of my time cause they did what they intended to do and that’s entertain me. Thanks for the nice replay buddy 😀
I talked with the developers on Twitter and they said it’s releasing later this year which leads me to believe it will release in September or later.
Day one buy for me The Cowabunga Collection is going to fill a huge, gaping hole in my gaming collection, and Shredder's Revenge will be the spiritual sequel I've been waiting for since Turtles in Time back on SNES. I am personally more hyped for this than any of the AAA titles coming on either Playstation or Xbox for the rest of the year.
@OmegaStriver says "Summer 2022" at the end of the trailer for Shredder's Revenge.
Turtles, Final vendetta, two great games, both day one purchases. Great for us retro gamers!!
@Rural-Bandit your words bring a smile to my face. Great your enjoying modern video games and don’t care what others says as it’s about the fun you have
@Luigia thanks, thats nice to hear. Well i am not without my faults when it comes to wishing a game did this or that a little better. I will dabble into tech talk cause i am passionate about the industry. But i tend to never fault a person when they say it’s fun to me or my family and friends i play with. Instead of it’s better cause me or the internet says so, or the mainstream says its great so it is kind of talk. That is people that won’t care much for the industry when they tire of arguing and wanting to be right about what they own and choose to buy. I have always owned all 3 consoles and since the 360 i have made the Xbox my main platform for 3rd party and MS exclusives. I like the controller better and the ecosystem better and some features such as at the moment VRR and Dolby Vision and Atmos. So some get mad at me here cause PS3, PS4 and PS5 are my Sony Exclusive machine such as my Nintendo. But i support these other two brands cause they still have a way to bring me fun and excitement and i enjoy supporting and giving money to those teams that work hard to make it in the industry and please it’s fanbases. I have a wife and kid now and they enjoy Nintendo games such as animal crossing and Mario kart, and i do as well but to play with them and share moments of the game together is so much more fun and i love Nintendo for that. My wife could careless about Halo and God of War but will play Mario Kart and win, she has all 3 stars on 200CC so she can play and that is part of the industry that i could never not support cause it gives back so much to me in ways my Xbox never could. But when they are asleep i get to blast away in Gears of War or play Twisted Metal on PS or whatever and thats an experience that is just as awesome in a different way and i wish more players in this industry could see that instead of arguing online that their system is all that matters and we are dumb for supporting the industry as a whole. I will admit i have engaged with them at times on here and other sites and i find the older i get the more useless of time it really is. Some people like to argue and the internet is the safest and easiest way for many to do that. Sadly but maybe that is their vision of fun, so who am i to say the industry would be better off without them. HAHA
Shut up and take my money. 😀 That will be great on ...Switch.
@Rural-Bandit cracking comments and if a video game brings a smile to anyone of any age, it’s a good thing.
Maybe a June or July date? Only time shall tell.
